Potential new energy source to begin testing.
Praxen Defkalion Green Technologies Global Ltd (PDGT) is a Greek based company with a particularly bad-ass sounding name which for some reason reminds me of Globex Corporation from The Simpsons. But BDGT is working to bring to market a new, clean energy source with the potential to revolutionize the world - if it turns out to not all be a giant lie.
Their technology is based on something called a Rossi Energy Catalyzer, which was patented in Italy last year, and claims to be able to infuse heated hydrogen and nickel, transmuting it to copper and producing heat. The inventor was never awarded an international patent for the device because it seemed to “offend against the generally accepted laws of physics and established theories”.
Now PDGT claims to have developed the technology into a machine capable of creating a multi stage, low energy nuclear reaction, capable of producing 20 times more energy than is put in. A series of third party tests will get underway this year, with the company now “inviting further requests from internationally recognized and reputable scientific and business organizations interested to conduct their independent tests on bare Hyperion Reactors”.
While the whole company and concept have always seemed dodgy and unproven, this independent testing is an exciting step. After all, if the technology is proven to actually work it will likely transform the world we live in. The energy source is said to be millions of times more energy dense than chemicals, and could cause energy prices to fall by up to one hundred times this decade, while eliminating the need for air polluters such as traditional car engines and coal power stations.
